For Beer: Odell Brewing

One award winning brewery has just staked land in the heart of Denver. Larimer street is now home to Odell Brewing CO, a long time favorite from Fort Collins, Colorado. The intimate taproom maintains all of the classic best selling beers like the Odell IPA, 90’s Shilling, and Easy Street Wheat. These classics will always taste great, but it’s the small batch brews that really make Odell a Denver destination. They are now serving limited batches of craft IPAs and sours that are best tasted on site. We’re fairly certain that all of the hype is worth a try!

An Austin Texas original brought to the heart of Denver. This bar goes from being a casual game-time lounge to standing room only later in the night. Don’t worry about the crowd because there is still plenty of room to get down on the dance floor. Featuring two full service bars and a live DJ, you’ll be feeling your best. Frequented by the most attractive people in Denver, be sure to bring you A-game whether you’re on a date or single and ready to mingle.

For Music: Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox

From the owner of the renowned, Linger restaurant comes Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox. Centrally located on 20th street in downtown Denver, Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox is one of the city’s best independent music venues. With a constant stream of new exciting artists, Ophelia’s is a great spot to discover up-and-coming artists or jam out to some dueling pianos. The “multi-level gastro brothel” is decorated with Boudoir style decor that will make you feel like you’re eating dinner in the 1920’s. Not only is this a great spot to go for a music filled evening, but the modern american dishes are quite delectable.

For Foodies: Safta

Safta, meaning “grandmother” in Hebrew, is the spouse restaurant to the acclaimed Saba or “grandfather” restaurant located in New Orleans. Serving modern, wood fired middle eastern food that is sure to make your taste buds dance! This restaurant is highly rated in every category from it’s stunning location to impeccable service. Located in the up and coming RINO (River North) neighborhood, this restaurant is on the second floor of the Source hotel. Being family style, make sure to order several dishes to share. Some of our favorites include lamb ragu hummus, duck matzo ball soup, and crispy eggplant. We promise that this restaurant won’t disappoint even the most seasoned foodies.

For Artful Types: The Mayan Theatre

Turn the archetypal date night of dinner and a movie up a notch with a ticket to the Mayan Theatre. Operating since 1930, this old movie house will make you feel like you have traveled back in time. Grab a cocktail at the upstairs bar before you head in to watch the main event which, as an added bonus, is usually a movie off the beaten path of hollywood blockbusters!

For First Dates: KAOS PIZZA

This quaint pizza place is a hidden gem for first dates. Inexpensive, convenient, and oh so tasty, this is a wonderful place to take someone who you’re just getting to know. Whether you’re on a blind date or have just swiped right, Kaos is sure to keep both parties comfortable. Plus, who doesn’t love Italian? This place is so good for first dates that one of our editors has been asked out here on three separate occasions (with one night standing out in particular).

This bar is a dog-friendly staple where you are sure to meet some of the cutest puppies in all of Denver. Located outside of Movement Climbing Gym, it is the local hangout for climbers and outdoor lovers. Picnic tables are set up outside to accommodate the masses and servers cater craft cocktails and beer. The outdoor seating is also lined by half a dozen food trucks for a casual, but delicious dinner.

Can’t make a decision? Head over to Avanti, a self-described “collective eatery,” where you’ll find seven different food vendors, dining area and two bars! Grab a slice at Brava! Pizzeria Della Strada or a chicken sandwich at Chicken Rebel. Indulge in a specialty cocktail or find a new favorite beer on draft. With a location in the hip area of LoHi, Avanti’s rooftop boasts stunning views of downtown making it a dreamy location for a sunset date.
